Posted on

There are some signs you need to watch out for that may indicate an eye or a vision issue, and if you notice any of those signs, you need to get to the eye doctor to have your eyes checked. You should be going to the eye doctor regularly for an eye exam, but there are also other times that you may need to get to the eye doctor. Don't wait for your yearly appointment to go to the eye doctor. Read on for other times you should go to the eye doctor.

1. You Have Trouble Seeing At Night

If, all of a sudden, you have an issue with seeing at night, you may need to go to the eye doctor for an exam. You may not be able to see at night because of an astigmatism, or you may not be able to see because of other reasons. If you're having trouble seeing at night, it may be because of other health concerns as well. You could have a health issue such as diabetes that is causing problems with your vision.

2. You Have Issues With Dryness

If you have issues with dry eyes, it may be because of a few different issues. You may not be producing tears because of a medication you are taking, or it may be because of other health conditions such as menopause or thyroid disorders. You may also just not be producing tears or natural moisture in the eyes because of your age. As you age, your body doesn't produce moisture like it once did, and you may need to use eye drops to rewet your eyes and to prevent the dryness from causing eye strain or other issues for you. If you have excessively dry eyes, you should go to the eye doctor for an eye exam and for treatment options.

3. You Have Green Discharge

If you have green discharge coming out of your eyes, you should go to the eye doctor for an eye exam. You may have an eye infection that can cause vision issues that can leave you with vision issues if not treated. If you feel that you have an eye infection, such as pain, redness, or green discharge, you need to have it examined by an eye doctor.

You should get in to see an eye doctor if you experience any vision or eye concerns that you have. Make an appointment with the eye doctor if you have these or other vision or eye concerns.
